Vin de France Carl et Sophie Mestdagh - Owner-growers

Grape variety : Syrah 100%

Vinification : The grapes are harvested at the end of October. The grapes are destemmed without crushing before being vatted. Alcoholic fermentation starts naturally after a few days thanks to the yeasts that are local to the estate.

Tasted throughout the process, the wine is worked on (pumping, cap-punching) depending on the level of concentration of the must and the wine. After the alcoholic fermentation process the grapes are separated from the stems, pressed and aged for one year in the winery, during which time malolactic fermentation takes place.

The wine is finally racked, filtered and bottled.

    You find notes of glazed red fruit such as blackcurrant, blackberry and spices: liquorice and white pepper.

  • Mouth

    Rich in fruit, full-bodied and seductive. Silky tannins announce a long finish.

  • Serving temperature

    15 to 17 °C


This balanced Syrah goes wonderfully well with grilled red meat or poultry, stews and game.
